Terrible tragedy in Bnei Brak: Despite the effort, the medical staff at Safra Children's Hospital in Sheba Tel Hashomer were forced to pronounce the death of a one-year-old toddler who fell last Friday from a couch in a house in Bnei Brak. Her funeral is taking place at this hour in the city of Elad.
The toddler was transferred to the pediatric intensive care unit in serious condition, anesthetized and on a ventilator. The hospital said that despite the efforts of medical staff in recent days, she was pronounced dead today. The hospital said it shares the family's grief.
Medical teams arrived at the scene and gave her medical attention and performed CPR before taking her to the hospital.
MDA medics Lipa Hirsch and Issachar Weiss said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a one-year-old toddler unconscious with no pulse or breathing. We immediately began life-saving medical treatment and performed advanced resuscitation that included breathing, massages and medication. After her pulse returned, she was evacuated for further treatment in the trauma room at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, in serious condition."
