On the summer 2023 catwalk Miu Miu advanced it: the models walked with microminis that let the elastic waists of the boxers appear. In such a cool look it caught everyone's attention but the it girls did not take long to add the trend.
If we look at the social networks of European fashion girls, this detail is consecrated as the hottest trend of the moment. Even Blake Lively made it his own while filming It Ends With Us, the highly anticipated adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel of the same name. And the question in our minds is... why?
Historically, wearing boxers over jeans was popular in the Hip Hop subcultures of the nineties and subsequently made its way into most young male wardrobes of the time.
Women were not excluded from the 'visible underwear' trend. We all remember Kate Moss and her Calvins. Today, we still see branded thongs and underpants appearing above the belts.
However, this might be the first time we've seen 'old' cotton boxers proudly stand out above the waists of the most stylish women.
Miu Miu isn't the only brand to highlight underwear as a focal point on its runways. Gucci and Ester Manas are two other recent examples.
Another example is the influencer Viola Bergstrom, who added the trend to her looks and the reality is that it even made us want to try it...

The truth is that we do not dare to a tailor look with boxers in sight, but with huge and worn jeans, at least to start with a relaxed and different look.
