A tragic accident occurred on Sunday on a motorway in Italy, a coach crashed. One person died on the spot, numerous people were injured.
Update from June 4, 14:50 p.m.: The serious accident with a coach in Italy continues to occupy the rescuers on site. Around four o'clock in the morning, a Flixbus with 38 passengers on board and two drivers had captured five cars and then landed in an embankment next to the A16 motorway in the direction of Naples. One person died, 14 people were injured. According to the Italian La Stampa, the public prosecutor's office is investigating a homicide in road traffic.
The Flixbus had to be lifted with a crane to ensure that there were no other injured people in the wreckage.

In the meantime, there are also details of the accident: The bus was traveling from Lecce in southern Italy to Rome. Two of the cars involved had already had a rear-end collision after a curve shortly before. The bus then crashed into the stationary cars. The bus driver pulled left towards the guardrail to swerve. So the bus ended up in an embankment, which fortunately was not particularly deep.
The dead man is said to be a passenger in one of the stopped cars. Among the 14 injured, some are said to be seriously injured, but no one is life-threatening.
"I think they all slept. What woke us up was the heavy braking and then the bang when we collided with cars before we ended up in the embankment," a bus passenger told La Stampa. "We are miraculously alive," said another traveler who was sitting in the Flixbus with his children.

The bus then crashed into one of the cars, overturned, and eventually slid down an embankment. However, the exact course of the accident at the height of the municipality of Vallesaccarda in the province of Avellino is still being investigated.
