Many expensive projects await the municipality of Wörth. This is what frugal management is required. The 2023 budget has a volume of 20.5 million euros.

Wörth – After intensive preliminary consultation, the Wörth municipal council has approved the budget for the current year as well as the financial planning until 2026. With a view to upcoming major projects such as school renovation, frugal management was called for in the coming years.

The financial planning shows the well-known projects and investments for the next few years. In principle, Anton Erl (CSU) said with regard to the planned projects that the municipality had to master "a lot of investment-intensive measures" and said: "The development of the reserves worries me."

Wörth currently has a good 15.4 million euros on the high edge. If, however, the planned large-scale projects are realized, it can be assumed that they will flow into the investments: In order to be able to finance all this, there is a lot "that we have to melt down".

At the same time, Erl stressed that the budget was "very solid and well done". However, one must be prepared for surprises in 2024/25 and "take precautions that we are right". Petra Schletter (Greens) suggested that the Budget Committee should therefore "meet at an early stage", but also pleaded for "confidence".

The total budget volume amounts to around 20.5 million euros, with the administrative budget accounting for around 14 million euros and the capital budget for around 6.5 million euros. Tax revenue is 4.7 million euros for trade tax, four million euros for the municipal share of income tax, 320,000 euros for income tax rate, 200,000 euros for municipal share for sales tax, 37,000 euros for property tax A and 320,000 euros for property tax B. There is no key assignment. The revenue is offset by the district levy of around 5.2 million euros.

The estimate for the trade tax levy is given as EUR 514 000 and the estimate for the levy of the administrative community as EUR 860 200. For the primary and secondary school in Wörth, 665,100 euros in revenue is recorded in the administrative budget. This is offset by personnel expenses of EUR 65,400, ongoing operating costs and maintenance of EUR 990,500 and operating expenses of EUR 21,200. Capital expenditure is estimated at EUR 276 500.

In the explanatory notes on the Orterer School, it is stated that the water damage in the basement of the school with gymnasium and its regulation by the insurance company is noticeable as a "one-off effect" in the income in the administrative budget as well as the ongoing operating and maintenance costs. In terms of investments, around 1.1 million euros of budget leftovers from 2022 could be used for the planning costs for the general renovation.

Currently, 152 primary school children attend the school, 150 of whom come from the municipality of Wörth. 91 pupils attend the secondary school, 53 of whom are from the municipality of Wörth. VRONI VOGEL
