On Saturday the Paraguayan left the field between whistles and applause and vented his anger with the president of the Academy. Why no agreement could be reached.

The image went unnoticed during the game, but took shape a day later, when it went viral on social networks. The departure of Matías Rojas, replaced by Juan Nardoni 12 minutes into the second half, was marked by cheers and applause. He weighed the booing and the Paraguayan did not like it. To such an extent that it was read between his lips: "If they whistle at me, they would have to whistle at the president, the ... from his mother." The "10" continued on his way to the bench, Racing beat Banfield, but Victor Blanco preferred to turn a deaf ear. "I'm not worried. It's all right. He takes care of his money and I take care of the club's," he told Clarín.

Why is Rojas angry with the leadership? In January came an offer from Al Rayyan of Qatar that could leave $ 1,500,000 to the club and a millionaire salary to the Paraguayan. Racing preferred to decline this possibility prioritizing the sporting aspect. It was a special request from Fernando Gago. At the same time, he was offered the renewal of the contract.

Rojas had no choice but to continue playing in the Academy. But his level began to grow so much that he began to receive proposals from Mexico, Brazil and Europe. "Racing was getting farther and farther away," they told Clarín in the player's environment.

At that point, Botafogo's interest was already vox populi. Until Corinthians appeared. In that sense, some São Paulo media, including the site Ge Globo, assured that there is a pre-agreement between the Paraguayan and Timao that includes a contract until 2027 and a starting salary of 183 thousand dollars per month. Hard and sound ticket, of course. In Brazil there are no stocks and there are plenty of greens. Here, Rojas charges in pesos at the official exchange rate.

"No one can blame Racing for the problems that drag the country, but it is charging half of what it signed in 2019," they comment in the inner circle of the footballer.

If the MEP dollar is taken into account, which closed yesterday at 472 pesos, the account does not close the Paraguayan, since the retailer has a cost of 251.50 pesos (Banco Nación).

"We are trying to fix it, but it is not easy," the treasurer, Pablo Mena, told this newspaper.

Rojas' anger has to do with the fact of leaving amid criticism. The fans recognized his level, to the point of demanding that the Board of Directors renew it. However, they are clear that he had many ups and downs and had a lot to do with the injuries he dragged.

Gago defended him. "I have an opinion about Matias Rojas since January. He's going to play until we have him. You can see him enjoying these last months. I have great respect for him for how he trains and plays. People can say what they want," he said.

The penalty he missed against Banfield also has to do with his ailments. According to what they told Clarín, he chose to kick with the instep and not with the inner edge because he was injured in the oblique of the abdomen and had to infiltrate to play.

The club does not see Rojas' departure as a loss. 50% of the pass he bought from Defense and Justice is amortized.
