Defense Minister Yoav Galant visited the northern sector on Tuesday as part of the General Staff exercise "Clenching Fist," and referred to the development of the new Iranian missile, saying: "I hear our enemies boasting about various weapons developments, for all such things, we have a better response."
The visit to the command takes place as part of a large exercise that the IDF and the Defense Ministry are currently conducting, and in the shadow of the growing tension with Iran and its proxies in the region, headed by Hezbollah. Yesterday, as part of the exercise, the minister visited the Home Front Command headquarters and said that "in the event of war, the home front is expected to face challenges that we have known for 75 years."

During the visit, the minister assessed the situation together with the senior commanders in the sector. "I visited the Northern Command today, and after seeing the forces, I want to say to the Israeli public: We have excellent fighters. If Hezbollah makes a mistake and starts a war against Israel, we will hit it hard and return Lebanon to the Stone Age," Galant said, sending a threatening message to the Lebanese terror organization.

The minister also referred to recent reports that Iran has developed an advanced hypersonic missile: "I hear our enemies boasting of various weapons developments, for all such purposes, we have a better response - in the air, sea and on land, in defense and offensive efforts. We will know how to defend the citizens of Israel, and how to strike our enemies an eternal blow if, God forbid, they start a war against us."
