)Eurojackpot: How does gambling work?
The rules of the Eurojackpot are not difficult: to crack the jackpot, you need a total of seven correct numbers in the Eurolotto. For the draw, these seven numbers are drawn from different lottery drums. First, five numbers are drawn from 1 to 50. This is followed by a draw from the lottery drums "Pearl" and "Venus", from which a number from 1 to 12 is determined at random.

Eurojackpot: What are the odds of winning the Eurolotto?
Unfortunately, winning is not quite as easy as participating: in order to hit the complete jackpot, you are the only player in the whole of Europe who has to correctly predict the Eurolotto numbers. So you get the main prize with a total of seven correct numbers. However, there are also some smaller prizes in twelve prize categories.
This is a difference to the German Lotto 6 out of 49: In addition to the main prize class, there are only eight other prize categories. The odds of winning the Eurojackpot are a statistical probability of 1 in 140 million. The value roughly corresponds to the probability of winning the Lotto 6 out of 49. That, too, has changed with the new rules. Previously, the chance of hitting the Eurojackpot was 1 in 95 million.
