The police opened an investigation about three weeks ago after receiving a report that they had found the bodies of two men and a woman in an apartment in Netanya.
While dealing with the difficult scene, the detective officer at the station identified blood stains from one of the rooms and when he opened the door to the room he found a dog wallowing in its blood.
A Netanya Municipality dog catcher who arrived at the scene helped rescue the eight-month-old German Shepherd dog and he was rushed to the municipal veterinary clinic, where he received life-saving treatment that included several urgent surgeries after he was stabbed in the neck and abdomen by the murder suspect.
At the end of the treatment and after it strengthened slightly, detectives from the anti-crime unit at the Netanya station arrived yesterday at the municipal clinic, where they met with the medical team that treated him, and at the end the police detective adopted the dog into his home through the Herzliya and Netanya Animal Love Association.
