Rabbi Dimentman at the New Beit Midrash in Homesh: "Homesh - a will sealed with the blood left to us by Yehuda"

The family of Yehuda Dimentman, z"l, who was murdered on the way to Homesh, took an emotional tour of the community after the yeshiva was located in the permanent residence - a permit that was first revealed in Israel Hayom. Rabbi Mordechai Dimentman said: "We saw eye to eye how out of the darkness came a great light that would break through all of northern Samaria."

Homesh Yeshiva

A week after the Homesh Yeshiva was located in its new location, and after it was revealed in Israel Hayom that Galant had instructed the IDF to sign an order permitting Jewish residence in the community, the parents of Yehuda Dimentman, who was murdered a year and a half ago while making his way from the yeshiva to his home in Shavei Shomron, came on an exciting tour.

Baruch sets a widow's boundary

Yehuda's father, Rabbi Dimentman, encouraged the yeshiva students and thanked the many who worked to establish the yeshiva in its new home. Dimentman shared the comfort of the Homesh building and also referred to the engagement of Etya, Yehuda's widow.

"We were elated when we saw the light coming from the Pentateuch," the rabbi said excitedly. "The small light that emanated from the hill to the entire area resembles the gazelle of dawn that is destined to break through and illuminate all of northern Samaria. We are very happy and bless 'Baruch sets a widow's boundary' – literally. First, the return of Homesh to its original place and building, and secondly to the engagement of our dear daughter-in-law, Etya."

During the visit, Rabbi Dimentman spoke about the letter he sent to those young men who worked during the night when the Homesh buildings went up to the ground.

The rabbi wrote: "I am the father of the late Yehuda Dimentman. I was told that you were one of the hardworking pioneers who built the renewed Homesh. We are very grateful to you because in the case of Homesh we see a will sealed with the blood left by Yehuda. We are sure that the white night you went through will never be forgotten from your heart, and not many years from now, when Homesh will be a great settlement, you will be able to tell with pride and satisfaction that you built the first house in the renewed Homesh. They came up and succeeded."

The Homesh Yeshiva settled in a permanent residence

Last week, in a historic move, the Homesh Yeshiva was located in its permanent home, a few hundred meters from where it sat to this day, in an operation made possible by donations from Israel and around the world. At the end of the work, in the early morning, Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan arrived at the site and erected a mezuzah at the entrance to the yeshiva's beit midrash together with the yeshiva's director-general, Shmuel Wendy, and Benny Gal, one of the leaders of the Homesh nucleus.

Dagan said: "A historic moment - just steps away from correcting a terrible injustice that is not only personal, but directed at the entire people of Israel. Since the expulsion, we have been working day and night to correct the injustice. Two months ago, the Knesset removed the mark of Cain of expulsion from the law book of the State of Israel. This is another step on the way to the full correction, we will still reach Ganim Kadim and Sa-Nur, the people of Israel are raising their heads today."
