Col. Talia Lankri, a security analyst who is often in television studios, has already declared that she dreams of becoming public security minister. Until then, she is busy preparing for the elections for the mayor of Gedera, where she has lived with her family for the past 15 years.
Lankri wants to run against Yoel Gamliel, head of the council since 2008 and brother of Intelligence Minister Gila Gamliel. In an interview with Walla! Lankri confirms that she thinks she is best suited to lead Gedera elsewhere, does not intend to criticize the incumbent mayor or Gedera's situation, but the brutal rape case that took place in Gedera was one of the things that made her enter local politics.
