One day after the failure in the Bundesliga relegation, the Englishman Xavier Amaechi has left Hamburger SV and signed a contract with second division rivals 1. This was announced by both clubs on Tuesday. The FCM is coached by former HSV coach Christian Titz.
Magdeburg - "Xavier is a young player with a lot of potential who has a lot of potential. His path so far has not been so smooth, also due to injuries. We are convinced that he fits in with our playing philosophy and will revive our attack," said Magdeburg's sporting director Otmar Schork.
The 22-year-old Amaechi was never able to establish himself at HSV and has been loaned out to Karlsruher SC and Bolton Wanderers for the past four years. His expiring contract was not extended. Dpa
