"She would suffer from a simple fracture of the nose," adds this other police source. This good prognosis is a miracle in view of the road accident that occurred Monday around 20 p.m., on the Roissy airport area.
She was sitting next to the driver when the collision occurred with a taxi carrying four tourists. The two cars collided at a traffic light, Route de l'Arpenteur. The Toyota Prius of the taxi craftsman collided with the gendarmes, on the left side. The shock was such that the car of the gendarmes made "several rollovers then it was thrown over a wall, before stopping," adds the police source.
Offences committed by gendarmes
Inside, two members of the canine brigade of the air transport gendarmerie (GTA) of Roissy. The driver, a titular gendarme, was seriously injured. He had a head trauma and was transported in absolute emergency by an escort of bikers of the gendarmerie to the hospital of Beaujon Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine), "but without vital prognosis engaged," says the police. His passenger, a volunteer gendarme, was more lightly injured. In the Toyota, it was the taxi driver who was most seriously affected. He, too, suffers from a head injury. On the other hand, the four tourists he was carrying were unharmed.
The circumstances of the accident remain to be determined. According to the first elements collected on the spot, the gendarmerie vehicle would have committed violations of the Highway Code. The investigation was entrusted to the police station of Villepinte.
