This is how easy it is to prepare Turkish eggs with yogurt and chili:

For the Turkish breakfast Çilbir you need these ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • Chili butter:
  • 125 g butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 10 g chili flakes
  • Yoghurt:
  • 500 g yoghurt
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 g lemon zest
  • 5 ml lemon juice
  • 10 g parsley
  • Flatbread for dipping

This is how easy and quick the hearty breakfast is prepared:

  • Boil eggs until waxy (about 5 - 7 minutes, depending on size). Quench, peel and cut in half.
  • For the chili butter: Melt butter in a small saucepan. Flavor with garlic and chili and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • For the yoghurt: Season the yogurt with salt, pepper, lemon zest and lemon juice.
  • Transfer the yoghurt to a deep plate and top with the halved eggs. Drizzle chili butter on top and serve garnished with chopped parsley.
  • It goes well with freshly baked pita bread.
