Berlin - The new coaches for the 13th season of the casting show "The Voice of Germany" have been officially announced. In addition to the Tokio Hotel twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz (33) and singer Ronan Keating (46), pop star Giovanni Zarrella (45) and rapper Shirin David (28) will also take a seat on the red chairs, according to the official website of the show.
New jury brings casting show experience with it
Zarrella himself once became famous as part of the band Bro'Sis, which emerged from the RTLzwei show "Popstars". He now hosts the "The Giovanni Zarrella Show" on ZDF, which is named after him. The successful rapper David, on the other hand, was a jury member of the 2017th season of the RTL production "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" in 14.

At the end of May, ProSieben and Sat.1 announced via Twitter that all four "The Voice of Germany" coaches would take a break in season 13. Cult rocker Peter Maffay (73), Silbermond frontwoman Stefanie Kloß (38), singer Mark Forster (40) and Reamonn star Rea Garvey (49) left the swivel chairs.

"You never leave completely, some of you stay here," ProSieben and Sat.1 station boss Daniel Rosemann (43) thanked the four departing coaches of the past season "for great and wonderful hours" on Twitter as a farewell. The four are "always welcome on the red chairs".
