After 45 years of marriage, the Holon resident no longer tolerated the constant threats to her life from her husband, and she filed a complaint against him. On Tuesday, the 82-year-old husband was indicted for threatening his wife.
According to the indictment, the husband frequently threatened the wife with violence, often saying he intended to murder her and make her life miserable.
In one of these cases, following an argument between them, the woman left the house for medical treatment and the defendant demanded that she not return home, threatening her: "I'm killing you, go where you want, do what you want and bring whoever you want."
When the complainant returned, he locked the door for her and refused to let her in. When the woman told him she had to evacuate and asked him to open the door, the defendant told her: "Go do the toilet on the road, I told you you weren't coming back."
Later, police officers arrived, and when the husband refused their repeated requests to open the door, the policeman called their daughter the couple in order to persuade her father to open the door. At this point, during the phone conversation between the defendant and the daughter, he threatened to harm his wife: "I want to kill her and have them take me to jail, for her to go complain what I want you to do, I won't open the door, I'll get her juice."
