An indictment was filed today (Tuesday) against Dr. Nahum Nussbaum, 65, for committing indecent acts and sodomy on his patient for 13 years. This indictment joins another indictment filed against him last year for committing the same offenses against another minor.
According to the facts described in the indictment filed today in the Haifa District Court, the complainant began being cared for by Nussbaum in 2002, when he was 13 years old, and was under his care until 2015.

According to the indictment, the therapy sessions occurred frequently, and the defendant took advantage of them to commit indecent acts on the complainant, and also caused the complainant to sodomize him, all while the complainant was a minor and helpless, without his free consent and taking advantage of his dependence on him.
Second indictment against Nussbaum
As noted, the indictment filed today joins the charges filed against Nussbaum about a year ago, and describes serious sexual abuse committed by a similar method: In 2004, the complainant came to the defendant at the age of 12 for treatment and was his patient for many years during which he committed various sexual offenses against him.

The father of the minor who was sexually abused by Nussbaum said at the time the indictment was filed: "My son is going through a mental inferno. I use all possible means to strengthen it. It's impossible to believe how he kept the secret for most of his life. I agonize over myself. I brought my son to the same therapist who treated me. He used me to abuse my son."
