A serious accident has occurred on the A6 near Herrieden in Bavaria. A car transporter had skidded and overturned – then there were further accidents.
Herrieden – On the night of Wednesday, June 7, a serious accident occurred in Bavaria. On the A6 near Herrieden in the Middle Franconian district of Ansbach, a car transporter overturned. Numerous people were injured in the resulting accidents, including children.
Serious accident on the A6: car transporter skidds and overturns
According to a police spokesman, a car transporter rocked up on the A6 near Nuremberg for an unknown reason and then overturned. As a result, other vehicles crashed into the scene of the accident. Already during the skidding, the truck had lost its trailer as well as one of the transported cars.
According to initial reports, the accident resulted in a total of eight people being injured. Among the people injured are two children. All the injured were immediately taken to nearby hospitals for medical care. Luck in disguise: According to the police, all of them are only slightly to moderately injured.

Long clean-up and closure of the highway
As a result of the accident, extensive clean-up and cleaning work was required. Because of this, the A6 had to be completely closed for about seven hours. Since the accident occurred shortly after midnight, it has been released since the early hours of the morning. (FHZ)
