Summary. Michel, 80, has been a clown for more than 30 years. It was in 1995, when he met Christophe, that the desire was born to create a duo of clowns to perform in hospitals to distract and comfort the sick.
Over the years, Michel Lebeau and Christophe Christall - their stage names - crisscrossed the roads of France and Monaco, created their association, Le Rire c'est l'espoir, and were rewarded several times, notably by the Ministry of Culture. But in 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic put an end to entertainment in hospitals and the duo found themselves without activity.
Quickly, the two men struggle to pay the rent of their apartment in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine). In the spring of 2023, Michel and Christophe find themselves on the street. Since then, one of their friends has started an online fundraiser to try to help them.
Michel Lebeau testifies at the microphone of Ambre Rosala.
