Essonne: a bus driver assaulted by an individual under OQTF

A bus driver of line 487 was beaten and stabbed, Monday, June 5 shortly after 19h, in the station of Athis-Mons (Essonne), learned Le Figaro from police source. According to our information, a dispute broke out between the driver and a user, alcoholic, about the support of a scooter on board.

A 27-year-old Libyan man was taken into custody. Already known to the police, this individual is according to our information in an irregular situation and moreover targeted by an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF).

The driver, for his part, was transported to the hospital with a suspicion of fractured ribs. Slightly wounded by a knife in the calf, he did not wish to exercise his right of withdrawal.

The attack was filmed by the bus' CCTV cameras but the suspect's knife has not been found. An investigation was entrusted to the police station of Juvisy-sur-Orge.
