Due to work at Riem station, there will be stop cancellations and rail replacement services on the S-Bahn line S7 from Wednesday, 2 June.
Erding – Deutsche Bahn (DB) is continuing the barrier-free expansion of Riem station and is also working on overhead lines in the Feldkirchen area. For this reason, there will be extensive timetable changes from this Wednesday evening at 22.45 p.m. until Monday, 12 June, 3.30 a.m.
Between Riem and Markt Schwaben, all S-Bahn lines of the S2 will be replaced by buses. According to a statement from the railway, this will extend the travel time on this route by about 20 minutes. On Friday, 9 June, an express bus will also connect Markt Schwaben station directly and without intermediate stops with the Messestadt Ost underground station. The direct bus runs every 6 minutes from 21 a.m. to 20 p.m. and takes just under half an hour.
Because of the work in Riem, the S-Bahn stops there at a temporary platform. Due to limited line capacity, the stops in Grub and Berg am Laim will be cancelled on the S2 trains running into the city from 12 June to 15 September. For passengers to and from Grub, a bus replacement service has been set up from Poing via Grub to Heimstetten. Passengers to Berg am Laim can alternatively use tram 19 (Einsteinstraße stop) from Leuchtenbergring or bus line 190 from Ostbahnhof. The S-Bahn trains in the direction of the city are not affected by the stop cancellations and run regularly with stops at all stations.
