Elian Angel Valenzuela (23), better known as L-Gante, is in the DDI of Quilmes. He waited, alone, for a raid on his country house in Francisco Alvarez's Club Banco Provincia in Moreno. They also checked his mother's house and another property, all in this area of western Greater Buenos Aires.
They found three toy weapons but will remain detained until this Thursday, at least, until Alejandra Rodríguez, of the Prosecutor's Office No. 9 of Moreno-General Rodríguez investigates him for the crimes of illegitimate deprivation of liberty, aggravated threats and illegal possession of a firearm, although the latter and because the weapons are not found, it has not been possible to be accredited.
The singer L-Ghent has no current possession of weapons but it is not the first time he is involved in a violent episode in which he was seen wielding one. In all the raids in which he was involved, they never found the weapons he allegedly uses.
Judicial sources confirmed to Clarín that Elian Valenzuela has two other cases in the Judicial Department of Moreno for threats and injuries involving firearms, both raised to trial by the intervening prosecutors.
The background of L-Ghent
On December 8, 2021, the Pilgrimage to Luján took place for the feast of the "Immaculate Conception of the Virgin". The traditional event brings together a crowd of faithful who, walking or by car, arrive at the Cathedral from different locations.
It was in that context that, while returning, Elian Valenzuela and his then-partner, Tamara Báez, and a third young man identified as Luis Martín Ibáñez had a traffic argument. In that context, they threatened Daniela Rocío Vicente, a young woman who was driving a vehicle with two friends.
The pilgrimage took place in the middle of National Route No. 7 and the complainant tried to overtake a group "of about 30 people." It was at that moment that L-Ghent passed in his white BMW and crossed it next to another car, of his followers, a black BMW.
"You're already marked motherfucker, I'm going to grab you, I'm going to find you," he said. Elian and his accomplices got out of the car, filmed the driver and hit the vehicle. Tamara Baez reached out the window and "pulled his hair."
The fight escalated into violence and a patrol car intervened, while L-Ghent's friends hit the driver's car, who only made the complaint several days later, when a person crossed her in the street and shouted: "Don't run over babies", the same as Tamara Báez and Elian shouted at her that day.
"It's the bar that always accompanies him. They are his thugs," a witness to the sequence described.
Prosecutor Leandro Nicolás Ventricelli requested on Tuesday that the musician, his ex and the other accomplice go to trial for this fact. The judge's decision is still pending.
"The Maphilia" of L-Ghent
The second case is being investigated by the same prosecutor, Alejandra Rodríguez, and was also referred to trial. In that complaint, they also denounced him for threats and injuries. He is charged along with Baez and another friend, Lourdes del Valle Medina Manaure.
According to the indictment, L-Ghent "grabbed by the neck" Braian Alexis Aruchari "supporting a fist firearm to his head, while reproaching him for having tried to enter his home through the roofs."
At that time, L-Ghent "for intimidating purposes, fired a shot towards the ground" and hit the complainant, who was accompanied by a teenage girl on a motorcycle.
L-Ghent continued the aggression and told him that "his people (in reference to "La Mafilia") were going to kidnap and kill him."
The aggressions continued in the house of the musician, who invited the complainant to speak "calmer" but "the accused returned to show him the firearm already mentioned performing discharge maneuvers, firing twice towards the floor", to finally "take him by the neck, hit him and threaten him".
In November 2022, the National Road Safety Agency (ANSV) after a video broadcast on social networks, the musician appears in a car, with half of his body outside the vehicle and celebrates a group of motorcycles that make wheelie.
"For these facts, we made the decision to criminally denounce Elian Valenzuela for the crime provided for in Art. 193 bis of the Criminal Code, consisting of promoting on public roads tests of skill with a vehicle. Now he must answer to justice, "said Pablo Martínez Carignano, director of the ANSV. When consulted by this newspaper, they confirmed that this complaint did not prosper and that the Justice did not advance on the accusation.
The last case is also investigated by the prosecutor of Moreno, Rodríguez, and was the one that was made public yesterday with the arrest of L-Gante, accused of the crimes of "simple threats and illegitimate deprivation of liberty and coercive threats aggravated by the use of firearms" after threatening a young man, forcing him to get into his car and pointing a gun at him after a fight between two young people and one of them. Elian's friends.
Gaston and Emanuel argued with one of L-Ghent's friends, who was not even there. It was when the police intervened that the musician returned to Moreno to "defend" him thinking that he was detained by the complaint of the victims
"They are very afraid, because Valenzuela is detained but his friends, the group that accompanies him, are not. So they don't know what can happen," confided Leonardo Sigal, the plaintiffs' lawyer.
Interestingly, Sigal represents all those who carry out cases against L-Ghent in Moreno. When consulted by this newspaper, he said that "he has no animosity against him" but that people contacted him because "the information was spread" and because his study is "well known in Moreno."
