Three girls were injured, two seriously, this Wednesday evening, in Mureaux (Yvelines), in an accident involving a motorist. The facts occurred around 18:30 p.m., in the popular district of Bougimont. The little girls were crossing Pierre Lefaucheux Street when they were hit by the car. In this sector, near the Molière Park, the speed limit is 30 km/h.
The eldest girl, aged 11, and another 8-year-old were seriously injured in the shock. A third, an 8-year-old, escaped with lighter injuries. "One of them was probably on a scooter," says a source close to the case.
Driver eight months pregnant
All three conscious when help arrived, they were medicalized on the spot by the Smur of Versailles before being transported to the hospital. The driver involved, whose speed is not believed to be in question, is an eight-month-pregnant woman. She escaped unscathed.
"It was terrible, there were even impact marks on the windshield of the car," says a mother, present on the spot a few minutes after the arrival of the rescue.
This accident caused a strong emotion in this neighborhood frequented by many families, especially on a Wednesday, at this time of day.
