Putin's advisers are currently said to be delivering only good news to the Kremlin chief. Anything else apparently has consequences for employees.
Moscow - Vladimir Putin apparently does not want to receive bad news about developments in the Ukraine war. Since he would react extremely angrily to news of Russia's setbacks, only good news is currently being delivered to the Kremlin chief. At least that's what the Russian investigative portal rucriminal.info claimed on its Telegram channel VChK-OGPU. According to its own statement, the portal is committed to "uncovering the secrets of officials, oligarchs, gangsters and power brokers".
Developments in the Ukraine war: Putin can only be given good news
In another post, referring to an anonymous source, it says that Putin has stopped receiving bad news, especially about the Ukraine war, because he reacts to it in an "extremely irritable" way. Putin would accuse all his advisers who give him bad news of being under the influence of "Western propaganda".

In such a case, Putin would simply claim that he has more reliable information from other sources and remove the adviser from the list that allows access to the Kremlin chief. The Russian president is said to "not want to hear bad news" and therefore no longer receive it, the source added.
Those who only convey good news, on the other hand, would get "constant access" to Putin. The Russian-language news portal Nexta shared the post on Telegram and wrote: "Much more interesting is the fact that Russians are being sent to their deaths by a crazy grandfather, completely cut off from reality."
Putin only wants to hear good news: military officers are afraid of the Kremlin chief
The fact that Putin apparently does not want to receive bad news was already reflected in earlier assessments. According to information from the Associated Press, US intelligence officials had already determined in March 2022 that Putin may have been misinformed about several defeats of his troops in Ukraine at the time. His team of advisers is said to have been afraid at the time to tell the Kremlin boss the truth. However, Putin found this out, which is said to have led to ongoing tensions between him and the Russian military leadership.

In addition, according to the Associated Press, Putin did not receive any information, at least at the time, about "how the Russian economy is paralyzed by the sanctions, because his senior advisers, in turn, are too afraid to tell him the truth," White House communications director Kate Bedingfield said in March.
