Putin supporter Solovyov mobs on state television in the direction of NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg: The world has long since "decided" in favor of Russia.
Moscow – Vladimir Solovyov seems to be pretty much in line with Vladimir Putin. He is one of the most popular presenters in Russia. In the Ukraine war, he vehemently defends the views of the Kremlin chief in his prime-time format. In a recent edition of his TV talk, it was now against NATO. It was the "universal evil," said the 56-year-old.
"Hey NATO, have you noticed how much you are hated? Not only in Russia, where you were once loved. You thought you had united the world against Russia. The world has chosen us! She despises you!" Newsweek translated his tirade on television.
Addressing NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg directly, Solovyov continued: "That's why you're a hysterical, stupid Norwegian herring! Who are you anyway? You're a nobody! You don't make decisions, you're just a secretary! Why do you talk so much?"
Russia's state TV on the radar of the West because of propaganda
The Solovyov broadcast drew attention to the Ukrainian-American journalist Yulia Davis. On her YouTube channel "Russian Media Monitor" she has set herself the task of exposing Russian propaganda. Here is her Twitter post with the corresponding clip:
Analysis of Putin propagandist Solovyov: "Dissenters no longer exist"
On the same day, Anton Gerashenko, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, pointed to another recent Russian broadcast. According to the report, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the media company Rossiya Sevodnya, simply threatened the Western defense alliance NATO with "war".

Russian state television is not free. "There are no more dissenters in Solovyov. But a hierarchy of its own," the Frankfurter Rundschau, for example, analyzed Solovyov as a "man of malice and contradictions." The Putin darling apparently has a "secret life": Solovyov is said to be in a relationship with an American.
Russia vs. NATO: Medvedev repeatedly threatens in Ukraine war
Solovyov has already described the Russian invasion of Ukraine as a "holy war" in the past. The Putin propagandist also likes to ridicule the West as "satanic".
Solovyov's attack on Stoltenberg comes at a time when his successor is being debated: In the middle of the Ukraine war, Stoltenberg is leaving office to become head of Norway's central bank instead. Since the announcement of Stoltenberg's departure, speculation about Stoltenberg's successor has been rife.
In December 2022, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev also hinted that NATO members providing aid to Ukraine could be "legitimate military targets." (frs)
