Did attending a top business school help you get into tech?

Of course. I always wanted to discover the world. With my friends, we loved to travel but we did not have too much money, hence the name of our site (broken & abroad which means "broke and abroad", editor's note). The idea of launching this offer to young people comes from the fact that they are still too ignored by e-tourism platforms. The school allowed us to meet engineers from the first year. Early on, it opened our minds and plunged us into a world of technology. And by the way, my Master's research thesis was on smart cities. It was this work that helped me think about the different services we now offer on our travel platform.

Can we consider school as a springboard to start a business?

The school is a place that really gives the desire to undertake. As far as I was concerned, after my travels, I was asked a lot of questions on social networks. So with a friend we decided to create a site to share all the good plans I had discovered. I remember, we met after class to think about the project. After a month, just before the summer holidays, we decided to launch the site. Then we won two internal competitions and got a place in the incubator. In general, the school is an inspiring place, as soon as you set foot there because it is above all a meeting place. That is their asset.

Very few women get into Tech. Why do you think this is?

There are mental barriers and in my opinion high school orientation does not target girls enough to go into these professions. They are not thinking about Tech but rather about less scientific disciplines. It was the school that opened me up to different disciplines. Subsequently, it is probably necessary to advance parity in a world where fundraising for businesses started by women is still too low, less than 2%. Strangely enough, we do not imagine enough a tech company led by a woman. But we are moving forward.
