Highlights: Mylène Farmer's "Nevermore 2023" tour starts in Lille on June 3 and ends in Nice on July 29. In Nantes, about thirty tents are lined up waiting for the two concerts of the star, Friday and Saturday night. The campers have purchased - for the sum of 125 euros and since October 2021 - a ticket for the gold lawn, in the front row. In each city, the ritual is the same: renting an aparthotel in the vicinity to shower, prepare food and sleep.

TESTIMONIALS - In front of the Beaujoire stadium, about thirty tents are lined up waiting for the two concerts of the star, Friday and Saturday night.

Sitting in his blue tent, the same color as his marcel, Johanick is, this Thursday morning, the last to arrive in front of the Beaujoire stadium, in Nantes. Pillow, bottle of water, backpack including appetite suppressant pills to avoid going to the toilet: here he is ready to start his fast of several hours while waiting for Mylène Farmer's concerts in Nantes, Friday and Saturday, as part of her "Nevermore 2023" tour. The founder of a Facebook group called "fan club Mylène Farmer" has just settled behind thirty other small Quechua igloos: some have been camping there since Sunday morning.

Failing to sleep in it every night, it allows them to reserve their place in the queue. The campers have purchased - for the sum of 125 euros and since October 2021 - a ticket for the gold lawn. This category gives them a standing place, in the front row. But to be as close as possible, there is only one solution: arrive first. In the wilderness camp, everyone knows their neighbor from the front and back. Impossible to be doubled.

A "spirit of solidarity"

«

There is a real spirit of solidarity between the first 20 to arrive," shares Fabien, whose tent is positioned at location 14. With his two friends Carine and Ophélie, he arrived Tuesday from Belgium after 800 kilometers of car. "All my annual leave is spent for Mylène," says the forty-year-old. All three have planned to attend (almost) all the shows of the singer, whose last live at Paris La Défense Arena dates back to 2019. "Every time, we think it's his last tour. We are afraid that she will not come back!

In 2023, the first concert started on June 3 in Lille and the last will take place in Nice on July 29. In each city, the ritual is the same: renting an aparthotel in the vicinity to shower, prepare food and sleep. Except the day before, when bedtime takes place on floor mats so as not to be fooled by fans arriving in the morning at dawn. "We have already experienced bad moments, in frost and cold and rain," Ophélie recalls. The weather forecast is not good for this weekend and thunderstorms could break out: "it worries us ...

Counting places, accommodation, food... we have it for 5000 to 6000 €

Corentin, 22, fan of Mylène Farmer from Limoges

Above all, do not talk to them about misfortune! "We check the weather every hour": Corentin, Camille, Axelle and Maëlle, aged 18 to 22, arrived gradually on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Originally from Haute-Vienne, Brittany and Oise, some of them met in 2016, thanks to social networks, by sending each other "Hello are you a fan of Mylène Farmer?" on Messenger. Did they think they would be on their first tour together? In any case, they have given themselves the means. For the past two years, Camille has been working in an Intermarché in parallel with her studies. Corentin, on the other hand, has worked in bakeries and supermarkets. "Counting places, accommodation, food... We have 5000 to 6000 €". Their respective parents, who did not necessarily immediately understand their passion, finally got used to it. "We didn't ask them for anything financially, except for the car." They walk in the Kangoo of Corentin's family.

Young fans have already had the opportunity to meet Mylène Farmer: "she is very kind, protective, human and maternal," says Camille. They are not afraid to get tired of her: "When you love a film, you 'watch it again'. It's the same for a concert." Also, they intend to attend the 13 dates of the tour to "try to make up for the lost years", when they were not yet born. The band remembers attending the first performances in 2013. Maëlle, the youngest of the band, will participate in her first concert.

It is also a first for Romain, 27, who came to join a friend this morning. "I'm not a big fan. They sold me the show!" he laughs. Cyril arrived on Wednesday night. Both are from Nantes and have the opportunity to go home to wash their clothes. But on site, the atmosphere is special: "We know each other. In the evening, we have aperitifs together, "says Cyril, who took a few days of vacation. He does not define himself as a "groupie" and does not necessarily "seek to meet" Mylène. But he admires his career, his music, like Innamoramento. He will also be present at the France stadium at the end of June.

Loïc, 33, will also make the trip. Home coach, he can easily arrange to free himself. In addition to Paris, he will also go to Bordeaux, with his father who passed on his passion, in addition to the two Nantes concerts. "I will be in the pit twice, and twice in the stands. The atmosphere is different. In the pit, we miss elements of the staging, "he remarked. For Johanick, his blue tent neighbor with whom he has just met, no matter the placement, he already senses that there will be "emotion in every song". And he intends to savor: armed with patience, he knows that the few hours before the concert represent a "long moment" and that "the best moment will be short!"
