The Central District Attorney's Office today (Thursday) filed an indictment in the Central District Court against Moshe Perry, a 52-year-old resident of Rishon LeZion, for the murder of his ex-wife, Riley Perry, on her birthday. The indictment charges him with aggravated murder and invasion of privacy.

The indictment states that last May, Moshe obtained a key to Riley's apartment without her consent, and on the 12th of her birthday he decided to kill her, partly because he suspected that she was having relationships with other men and felt that she was preventing him from meeting his grandchildren and children. Moshe entered Riley's apartment early in the morning, awake and their son was still asleep in his room, and began stabbing her with a screwdriver he brought with him 16 times all over her body.

The indictment also states that while she was bruised and bleeding, Riley began screaming to Azka, went out onto the balcony of her apartment and shouted: "Help, he's murdering me." When she returned inside, Moshe knocked her to the kitchen floor and tried to strangle her. Their son, who woke up, decided to kick him while shouting to his mother to call the police. As the son held him, Moshe shouted at his ex-wife: "That's what happens when they don't let me see my grandchildren."

At that point, according to the indictment, Riley got up and left the apartment, but collapsed a few meters later in the stairwell. Her son ran towards her and began performing CPR on her. Moshe cleaned the screwdriver, threw it under the couch in the living room, and stood up to watch his son perform CPR.

According to the indictment, Moshe and Rili divorced in 2018, but only moved separately in 2021. Rili lived with their son in Rishon LeZion. For several months before the murder, Moses would follow Riley to make sure she wasn't in contact with other men and harass her. Among other things, he calls her, even at night, sometimes from various phones, and curses her. In addition, Moshe used to connect to the security cameras of the building where she lived in order to follow her.

That day, she was supposed to celebrate a birthday with her friends. They sent her greetings early in the morning, not understanding why she wasn't answering. "Her father is used to bringing her a newspaper every Friday morning. He arrived and suddenly saw a lot of ambulances, screaming 'he murdered her,' and realized it was his daughter," a relative told Walla! Two days after the murder. "The family lost both father and mother. Deleted in an instant. In any case, I think that the divorced will have no place in family life anymore."

Another relative said after the murder: "She was a noble woman, intelligent at insane levels. A great soul who did everything for her children and everyone's peace. Two years ago, problems began in the marriage with him. Crazy jealousy, checking her phone, snooping on her Facebook. Then they divorced. But as they say, the difference between love and obsession is small."
