Mayor Michael Grasl is looking forward to a "huge party in dark blue". The Münsing fire brigade is 150 years old - and that is celebrated in a big way.
Münsing – The Münsing Volunteer Fire Brigade is celebrating its 150th anniversary until Sunday. On Wednesday evening, patron Grasl tapped the first barrel of the Andechs monastery brewery with two strokes in the tent on Hartlweg without a beer shower. The mass costs 9.20 euros. The chairman of the fire brigade, Max Bauer, his deputy Johannes Schmid and brewery boss Georg Filgertshofer were happy with him.
Five-day anniversary celebration in the tent
The five-day anniversary has been planned for a long time. The nine-member festival committee met for the first time at the beginning of 2021. They wrote an extensive commemorative publication, looked for a host, put together a varied program for every day and evening and invited friends.
Highlight: Parade with about 1000 participants
In Münsing's partner municipality of Todtnauberg in the Black Forest, some fire brigade members even travelled personally last year to extend the invitation to the local fire brigade. A delegation of about 20 women and men is expected for this Friday and will also march in the big parade through the village on Sunday. The procession with about 1000 participants will be the highlight of the festivities. 40 fire brigade associations and 14 local associations alone are registered. According to Max Bauer, the numerous vintage fire brigade vehicles will be a feast for the eyes. The feast day begins with a church service at 10 a.m. in the garden of the elementary school; the parade starts around 11.30 am.

This Friday, starting at 20 p.m., the hosts invite young people in particular to the big "extinguishing water party". On Saturday, a small open day is planned at the Am Labbach fire station, before the cabaret artist Michael Dietmayr performs in the marquee from 20 p.m. Tickets are still available at the box office. On Sunday, the Münsinger and the Holzhauser Musikkapelle will play. The people of Münsing also created a good atmosphere on the opening evening, as did the drumming procession of the fire brigade.
Generous donations for youth work
Some mayors of the neighbouring municipalities as well as a number of local associations and companies were present. Max Bauer thanked them for their generous donations, which could be used for youth work. Mayor Grasl said the festivities would "definitely go down in the history of the municipality."
