A 33-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after arriving at the Tel Aviv Gay Pride parade area in possession of an electric shocker, a prick, pepper gas and an unidentified chemical. The 33-year-old is known to police from previous cases of threats to harm members of the gay community and allegedly planned to harm marchers. The suspect, a resident of Tel Aviv, was taken to the police station for interrogation.

The police do not allow vehicles to park along the parade route, and do not allow weapons into the compounds. MDA is also preparing for the event, with intensive care vehicles, ambulances, motorcycles, ATVs and medical personnel along the route.
