On Wednesday, an accident occurred during rush hour. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. However, the Dachau fire brigade had to listen to a lot when regulating traffic around the accident site.

Dachau – A 19-year-old driver drove on Wednesday at around 16:45 p.m. on Theodor-Heuss-Straße in the direction of travel and wanted to turn left into Schleißheimer Straße.

In doing so, he overlooked an oncoming 35-year-old with his car. There was a head-on collision, as a result of which the person who caused the accident was slightly injured. According to the police, the estimated property damage amounts to at least 40,000 euros.

The roadway had to be partially closed, the Dachau fire brigade took over, among other things, the traffic control. Both vehicles were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed.

The fire brigade also reported in the context of the accident that "when the first forces arrived, five slightly injured people, including two children" were found; however, these persons were no longer in the vehicles. The emergency services would therefore have had to support the rescue service "in the sighting of those affected" and at the same time secure the scene of the accident and take over the traffic control – which, according to fire brigade spokesman Wolfgang Reichelt, was "a real challenge in rush hour traffic".

And although the scene of the accident or the cars involved in the accident were actually clearly visible on the road and the motorists should have been aware of the necessity of the operation, not everyone reacted with understanding for the traffic control.

Therefore, fire brigade spokesman Reichelt appeals to all road users: "The emergency services, full-time and volunteers, stand there and have to work. They can't help the situation, but they're doing their best to clean up the mess as quickly as possible!" He and his colleagues therefore ask "for understanding and sometimes less aggression (...) and observance of barriers. These apply to everyone!"

During the more than one-hour traffic control measures, another rear-end collision occurred and a cyclist was injured. Dn
