Jennifer Aniston feels perfectly in tune with her age and increasingly rejects beauty injunctions made to women as they age. After voluntarily displaying herself with her white hair on Instagram a few days ago, the actress tackles another topic involving ageism. In an interview with the American edition of Vogue magazine published on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, she protests against this famous diverted compliment that consists of telling mature women that they are "beautiful for their age". This awkward expression rooted in mentalities would have the gift of annoying the interpreter of Rachel Green in Friends. " It drives me crazy. I can't stand it," she says, "It's a habit in society to have benchmarks like: 'Well, you've arrived at this stage, so for your age...' I don't even understand what that means."

The fifty-year-old then says that she feels better than ever about herself today, no offense to aficionados of youth. "I'm in better shape than I was at 20. I feel better in my head, body and mind. Everything is 100% better," she says.
To conclude this interview, our fellow journalist asks her if the notion of "longevity" is important to her. Jennifer Aniston answers in the affirmative, specifying however that she does not run after a simple age record: "My family lives a long time, especially on my father's side [actor John Aniston, who died at the age of 89 in November 2022, Editor's note]. I want to flourish; I don't just want to be alive," she said.
