Hit in the spine after a collision with a night bus, in Châtillon, a 37-year-old biker was admitted, in absolute emergency, to the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital, in the fifteenth arrondissement of Paris.
The accident occurred on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, shortly after 3 a.m. The victim was riding a Honda NT 1100 on Avenue de la République, towards the nearby town of Montrouge. According to initial findings, the latter would have tried to turn left towards rue Étienne-Deforges.
A night bus of the RATP, the Noctilien of line N 63 which connects Montparnasse to Polytechnique, then arrived opposite. The latter also circulated on the Avenue de la République, but in the opposite direction, in the direction of Fontenay-aux-Roses. Surprised by the maneuver of the motorcycle, the driver would not have had time to brake. "The bus driver could not do anything to avoid the biker who finally hit the front left of the bus," said a police source.
Proof of the violence of the shock, the motorcycle is completely destroyed. Quickly taken care of by the firefighters, the biker, conscious, complained of very sharp pain in the back and legs. Also taken care of by the emergency services, the 43-year-old RATP machinist was slightly injured in the hands after receiving shards of glass.
