Weßling - A homeless man (47) spat on two children at the train station in Weßling on Wednesday afternoon, racially insulted them and threw garbage at them. Courageous witnesses took care of the children and informed the federal police, who briefly arrested the man.
Shortly after 16 p.m., the incident occurred on the platform. The children (around ten and twelve years old) were protected by the two women – a woman from Weßlingen and a woman from Ottenhofen in the district of Erding, 37 and 52 years old – and accompanied to an S-Bahn to Herrsching. The women called the police from the S-Bahn. Officers met the man at the station and arrested him. After completion of all police measures, the officers had to release the man.
Federal Police: Man is known for anti-constitutional signs
According to the Federal Police, the man had verbally insulted the children in a racist way and also beat them, not just throwing garbage. Several times he had shown the Hitler salute and shouted "Heil Hitler". Not for the first time: The man was known to the police for violent crimes and the use of anti-constitutional license plates, according to Thursday's statement. He was not sober either: an alcohol test showed a value of 1.72 per thousand.
The Federal Police are looking for the two children or their legal guardians as well as other witnesses to the incident. Relevant information can be obtained by calling (089) 5 15 55 00.
