Fans meet demonstrators: Heated atmosphere at Rammstein concert? Police speak out

On June 10th and 11th, the band's last two concerts will follow in the Bavarian capital.



After the allegations against Till Lindemann, demonstrators were also at Munich's Olympic Stadium in the run-up to the Rammstein concert. The police take stock.

Munich - Rammstein is playing a total of four concerts in Munich these days. The kick-off took place on Wednesday, 7 June. Tens of thousands of fans made the pilgrimage to the Olympic Stadium.

Before the first concert, demonstrators and fans of the band clashed. The background to this are allegations that several women - some of them anonymous - had recently raised against frontman Till Lindemann. The police were on site with around 100 forces, as a spokeswoman explained on tz demand - a usual number. This was not an increased contingent, the spokeswoman continued.

"We didn't have any special incidents": Police take stock of the first Rammstein concert

The atmosphere was as usual before such major concerts. "We did not have any special incidents," the spokeswoman said. They had taken note of the media reports of a heated atmosphere. A few concertgoers stopped in front of the demonstrators, but the spokeswoman could not confirm any slogans against the demonstrators to tz.de.

On Thursday evening, the second Rammstein concert will take place in Munich's Olympic Stadium - possibly with rain and thunderstorms. On June 10th and 11th, the band's last two concerts will follow in the Bavarian capital. As of Thursday, it should remain dry. (came)
