In the video: Justice Minister Yariv Levin at the plenum: "The process of selecting judges was done in an inappropriate and unacceptable way" (Knesset channel)
Justice Minister Yariv Levin informed the High Court of Justice on Thursday evening that he is appointing attorney Aya Deutscher-Kornhauser, who currently serves in a senior position in the State Prosecutor's Office, to the position of acting head of the disciplinary court for civil servants. The announcement came after Deutscher Kornhauser and Success petitioned the High Court of Justice after Levin refused to approve an appointment to the position.
The petition argued that the appointment should be completed, since disciplinary cases of civil servants who refused are not handled and the public is harmed by this.

Deutscher-Kornhauser was selected in the tender, which was headed by retired judge Nava Ben-Or, who previously served as Deputy Criminal Attorney General, as well as Criminal Deputy Attorney General Amit Marari. Despite this, Levin refused until the evening to sign her appointment.
