A 94-year-old Neubiberger has become the victim of a gang of fraudsters. He gave his account details to an alleged bank employee on the phone.
Neubiberg -. On Monday, June 5, between 16 p.m. and 17 p.m., a 94-year-old Neubiberger received a call from an alleged bank employee who stated that he wanted to check the account, according to police. In the further course of the conversation, the 94-year-old passed on his account data to the previously unknown perpetrator.
Unauthorized debiting in the amount of several thousand euros
A short time later, he discovered an unauthorized debit in the amount of several thousand euros on his account. Subsequently, the 94-year-old received a call from an alleged police officer who told him that the money was back in the account. When this was not the case, the 94-year-old called the police emergency number 110 the following day.
Criminal investigation department investigates
Further investigations in this case are being conducted by Commissariat 77 of the Munich Criminal Investigation Department.
