Summary. " It's a matter of weeks." HHC, a synthetic cannabis derivative, will soon be banned from sale in France, Health Minister François Braun said on May 15 on France Info.
Appearing in Europe during the year 2022, this molecule is now available over the counter in France, and attracts more and more consumers. Problem for health authorities: the effects of hexahydrocannabinol are similar to those of THC, the component of cannabis whose presence causes psychoactive effects.
Worried, health professionals have been warning for several months about the risks of dependence related to the consumption of this "legal joint". After Austria, Switzerland, and Finland, France is preparing to join the list of countries that have already banned it.
This episode of Source Code is narrated by Florence Méréo, health journalist at Le Parisien, and Antoine Castagné reporter at the video pole.
