At an event in Lugano, he presented his candidate for head of government. Criticism of the current mayor and optimism about the growth in the polls.

Around 500 people gathered in the center of the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Lugano, at the intersection of Piedra Buena and Chilavert streets, to be part of a caravan of a few blocks that Javier Milei undertook to the El Ideal club, located on Montiel Street, and where the libertarian candidate was a Futsal goalkeeper in the mid-'80s.

Honored by the authorities of the institution where Milei was part, in his words, "of the glorious category '70", the libertarian leader led there an act in which, if necessary, he formally presented Ramiro Marra as the candidate for head of Government for Freedom Advances. But he also took the opportunity to hit Horacio Rodríguez Larreta hard and predict that he will reach the ballotage and that, there, he will be elected president.

The act was far from being multitudinous, but it mobilized a good part of the neighborhood, with streets cut by the presence of militancy of the milleismo that arrived from different parts of the city and the province of Buenos Aires.

"Our candidate for head of government, Ramiro Marra," shouted Milei on stage, embracing the Buenos Aires legislator, financial youtuber, installed for two years as the main Buenos Aires reference of the space.

"It is a pleasure to be with the beloved Ramiro Marra. We are the founding line of La Libertad Avanza. The most visible heads were Ramiro, Victoria Villarruel and me," said Milei, who began to review the genesis of her space in the Buenos Aires area.

"When we started they said the Liberals were very attractive for TV but they don't have votes. After we were not going to form a party, but we created La Libertad Avanza. They kept saying that we would not pass the PASO, that we would lose against the blank vote, that we would lose against the left. We ended up getting 17 points in the generals," he exclaimed as the audience chanted "the caste is afraid" and "Milei, president."

And he continued: "Thanks to my sister's wonderful idea, we ended up being in all the newspapers of the world for the diet raffle; Then we did mass events inside. We didn't get in here to guide lambs, we got in to wake lions. We are going head-to-head with the caste to get them out," Milei said.

After that, he pointed harshly against the current head of the Buenos Aires Government and pre-candidate for president for Together for Change, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, whom he accused of using the public funds of the City to finance his national campaign. "Today there is information about how the logic of the incident works in CABA", in reference to Horacio Rodrìguez Larreta and the media.

He also spoke of his electoral chances: "Despite the operations and lies we have stood up. If you look at the Frente de Todos polls, we are second. If you look at the Cambiemos they also show us seconds." And he said: "If we enter the second round we will win the elections."

For his part, Ramiro Marra highlighted the "joy of walking the City again with Javier, this is the first of many walks that we are going to do with Javier in this campaign. Liberal ideas have already won and now we want to end the political caste."

It was precisely in Comuna 8, which includes Lugano, Soldati and Villa Riachuelo, where Milei had one of his best performances during the 2021 elections, where he reached more than 19% of the votes, surpassed only by Comuna 9.

"Comuna 8 was the one that accompanied us the most in the 2021 campaign, now we decided to return to the City from here. What happened in the south of the city is an example of what is going to happen this year," Marra said.
