In Monaco, there is no end to speculation after the surprise announcements of the departure of two of the closest to Albert II. On Tuesday, Claude Palmero, 66, administrator of the Crown property for more than twenty years and, as such, manager of the prince's fortune, was asked to leave immediately his office located in one of the wings of the princely palace. Claude Palmero, describes a source, "it is the man who knows everything, everything, and everything", and especially on the interlacing of the princely family.
To be such a character, one necessarily had to have the confidence of Albert, as this chartered accountant had previously had that of Rainier III. Claude Palmero, 67 in July, had been promised a smooth transition, over several months. It was done in one hour. Officially, he has retired. This was accepted by Albert, who thanked him in a statement for his "professionalism".
