Prefect, inspector general of administration, Michel Auboin was, from 2009 to 2013, director of the integration of foreigners and naturalizations at the Ministry of the Interior. In 2016, he submitted to Prime Minister Manuel Valls a report on the situation in the suburbs. He co-authored with Jean Tulard a History of the Police. He now publishes Le Défi d'être français (Presses de la Cité).

Our legal provisions impose French nationality on all foreigners who settle permanently, even if they do not accept the rules!
