A prosecutor's statement was filed today (Thursday) against Ilana Kober, owner of a daycare center for toddlers in Eilat, who is suspected of more than 400 cases of helpless assault that she handled. The investigation revealed that the 64-year-old physically and mentally abused 27 toddlers. Now, an indictment is expected to be filed against her in the coming days.

From the moment the complaint was received, the investigation was conducted covertly, after which hundreds of cases of abuse were exposed after parents were called to identify their children in the daycare cameras. The court extended the suspect's detention for more than two weeks until the evidentiary basis was formulated.

Last March, an indictment was filed against Ilana Suissa from Sderot, following hundreds of cases of abuse of toddlers. According to the indictment, Suissa worked for 17 years as a kindergarten teacher, and in the past year she worked with toddlers between the ages of six months and a year and a half. Recently, there were 18 toddlers in Suissa's care, whom she physically and mentally abused.

In one case, according to the indictment, she stepped on the head of one of the toddlers for a long time until he managed to evade her. In other cases, she pinched and beat toddlers, pushed a playpen on a toddler and knocked him to the floor. In another case, she hit a toddler on the head with a mop stick, punched toddlers in the head, kicked them, slammed children from a height hard into playpens, pulled the toddlers by the hands and knocked them to the floor with their heads slammed to the floor.

In addition, she is accused of force-feeding toddlers, dragging toddlers after her, throwing games at the toddlers who hurt their bodies, hitting a toddler on the head with an empty box of chocolate milk, leaving toddlers unattended in the changing room, after closing the door on them, and more.
