In the video: Remarks by Rabbi Shai Tahan (PR)
This Shabbat, we will all read in the synagogue the portion of Shelah, in which the holy Torah tells us about the spies who spoke ill of the Land of Israel. The Sages of Israel elaborated on the dramatic implications of the spy affair on the history of the Jewish people, implications that are felt to this day.
In his weekly corner here in Walla! Judaism Rabbi Shai Techan, head of the Sha'arei Ezra Kollel and head of the Cedars of Lebanon teaching house, referred to the spies and gave a behind-the-scenes glimpse.
According to Rabbi Techan, an important message can be learned from the affair of the spies. When we want to convey a certain message to the group - according to statistics - one of the group is expected to make a different voice. And you have to calculate in advance how to deal with it. Watch his full remarks.
