Rammstein singer Till Lindemann rejects allegations against him. The 60-year-old is now having his interests represented by a lawyer. This was announced by the Berlin lawyers Simon Bergmann and Christian Schertz on Thursday.
"In the social networks, especially on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, serious allegations were made by various women to the detriment of our client," it says. "For example, it has been repeatedly claimed that women were drugged at Rammstein concerts with the help of knockout drops or alcohol in order to enable our client to perform sexual acts on them. These allegations are invariably untrue."
"We will immediately take legal action against the individuals for all allegations of this kind."
Several women have made allegations against Rammstein frontman Lindemann in recent days - some anonymously. The women describe situations that they sometimes found frightening. Young women were selected during concerts and asked if they wanted to come to the after-show party. According to some women, sexual acts are also said to have occurred.
In a statement by Rammstein, it was said a few days ago that the allegations had hit them very hard and that they were taken extremely seriously. "We say to our fans: It is important to us that you feel comfortable and safe at our shows - in front of and behind the stage." The letter continued: "We condemn all forms of abuse and ask you not to engage in public prejudice of any kind against those who have made accusations. They have a right to their point of view."
