There are serious allegations against Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann. Now a petition is calling on the city of Munich to cancel the concert series.
Munich - After the serious allegations against Till Lindemann, Wednesday (7 June) was an eventful day in Munich. The first concert since the public accusations of young women against Lindemann took place in the Olympic Stadium, and at the same time it was the prelude to a planned concert series in Munich with a total of four performances for Rammstein.
In addition to thousands of fans, there was also a demonstration in front of the Olympic Stadium against Rammstein. Now an urgent petition has also been launched. In it, the responsible persons of the state capital are called upon to cancel the concert series.

"It is unacceptable for us that Till Lindemann should get a platform with the planned concerts to continue his assaults," says the petition of the action group "Sirens Collective", which describes itself as an "online archive for sexual harassment" - although so far these are allegations, there is no conviction.
The organizers are addressing their petition to the managing director of the Olympic Park, Marion Schöne, and to Munich's Lord Mayor Dieter Reiter, among others. "We demand a detailed investigation of the incidents before the statements of those affected can be overrun by new concerts."

"Sirens Collective" had shared the petition on Twitter on Wednesday and called on people to show solidarity with those affected. In her opinion, the upcoming Rammstein concerts should be cancelled not only in Munich, but also in Berlin. The aim is to set an example for those affected. "Signal that you take the allegations seriously and follow your words with deeds," it continues. By 8:6 p.m. on June 14, more than 30,13 people had signed the petition on innn.it. It is unclear whether it was launched on Wednesday afternoon or only published on Twitter on this date.
Petition wants to cancel Rammstein concert series in Munich: KVR boss comments on the demand
Meanwhile, the district administration department had announced on Wednesday that it would take measures to ensure the safety of Rammstein concertgoers. On Thursday, KVR boss Hanna Sammüller-Gradl commented on the petition tz.de: "I can personally understand that people would like not to see Till Lindemann on stage. Legally, however, it is not possible to ban the event," says Sammüller-Gradl. "However, we have taken all legally possible measures, imposed conditions, closely monitored them and the organizer cooperatively commissioned an awareness team and set up an awareness tent." She herself followed the "Row Zero" on the spot.
Some fans had voluntarily sold their tickets after the allegations. Rammstein had not commented on the allegations during Wednesday night's concert, but refrained from using the well-known song "Pussy", which they usually play, during their performance.
