"I'm rather romantic with her...": Thierry Beccaro's rare and modest confidences about his wife

Since he no longer presents "Motus" on France 2 (left France Télévisions in 2018), Thierry Beccaro has moved away from TV sets to devote himself to his first passion, comedy. After Faut que ça change with Anne Richard, the former public service star performs at the Théâtre Hébertot in Paris in Sans rancune, a joyful vaudeville by Jean Poiret. A play he had already performed thirty years earlier. "I played the role of the pizzaïolo who stings the wife of Georges Ménigaud, the one I interpret today," says the interested party on the set of "Buzz TV" this Friday.

Egocentric, clumsy, stingy, in bad faith... His character collects flaws. "I am his opposite...", says Thierry Beccaro. But I still have tenderness for him. It takes to embody it. He is a little unhappy, "nuances the actor who, like Georges Ménigaud, could forgive an infidelity. "I think it proves his attachment to his wife," he replies.

In life, Thierry Beccaro says he is "rather romantic". Considerate, he regularly addresses small attentions to his wife and mother of his last two children, Emmanuelle Lannes, director of Marie-Claire magazine. "Usually, on Sundays, I bring flowers from the market," he says. Or, if she is on the move, as we tend to cross paths, I leave her a note on the table.
