In the run-up to the demonstrations on Saturday in Erding, the police and the city of Erding are assuming "massive traffic obstructions throughout the city".
Erding – A major demonstration against the climate policy of the traffic light government will take place this Saturday from 10 a.m. on the Volksfestplatz. At the same time, the Erdinger AfD has applied for its own demonstration on the topic from 9.30 a.m. The Greens, on the other hand, have registered a counter-demonstration. As a result of these gatherings, road users must expect obstructions. This was pointed out on Friday afternoon by the Erding police inspectorate as a precautionary measure.
Due to the events of the meeting as well as the arrival and departure of the participants in the meeting, "there may be traffic closures and obstructions in the city area," according to the press report. The police are "with sufficient forces" on site and are taking "traffic control measures". It asks the population to "prepare for possible traffic disruptions at an early stage".
The city of Erding had already pointed this out at the beginning of the week and written of "massive traffic obstructions throughout the city". Since the event was moved to the Volksfestplatz, the Anton-Bruckner-Straße in particular is considered to be particularly at risk of congestion, the authority said. Due to the expected high number of participants, impairments are to be expected well after the end of the demo.
