Neuching – Concert with cult band and Eicher meeting with 450 Bulldogs almost merged into one another, and for two days there was full operation on the grounds.

The first evening with the cult band Spider Murphy Gang was already a tough one, and the marquee on Lagerhausstraße was almost completely filled. Chairman Josef Widl announced: "We are very satisfied with the response." Already with the opening act Three and One, the guests danced in the front area of the tent, while further back at the beer benches they were allowed to devote themselves more comfortably to the music.

At the first sounds of the Spider Murphy Gang, however, practically no one was left in their seats, and the classics such as Scandal in the Restricted Area were shouted along and celebrated. When the musicians had played their last sounds, the evening in the marquee was by no means over. DJ Josh played until the wee hours of the morning.

Already at eight o'clock in the morning Widl and his large team from the Burschenverein Oberneuching continued, because the Eicher meeting was on the program. The vehicles of the cult brand chugged in a long queue onto the field next to the marquee - in the end there were around 450 Eicher Bulldogs of various years of construction and horsepower.

The first model was produced in 1936, the oldest Eicher in Neuching dates back to 1938. This has always been owned by the Veicht family from Wörth. Hans Veicht exhibited it in Neuching together with his grandsons Martina and Johannes and said that one rarely goes to exhibitions: "Today is an exception, but the great Eicher meeting here is worth it." His model has the factory number 603, which is all the more remarkable because the very first model had the factory number 500.

Another special feature was the story of Steffen Runge and Mona Punner: The two made their way from Schleswig-Holstein, 30 kilometers north of Hamburg to be precise, to Oberneuching. Although they did not drive the route with their 3125 Eicher Turbo from 1984, they were also on the road for well over twelve hours with the truck.

How did they come to the Eicher meeting here? Steffen Runge revealed that they are good friends with Tom Eberl from Oberneuching and often make their way to meetings together with their vehicles: "But this is something special, just a huge and well-organized gathering."

In Oberneuching, the famous Eicher wheel could not be missing either - this is only set up once a year, Widl emphasized, and you could see the joy that it worked out in 2023 as part of the Burschenfest. On this bike, an Eicher-Bulldog loops in a continuous loop, quite an impressive picture for young and old visitors.

In front of this attraction, the boys set up vehicles from 1986 - in keeping with the founding of the Oberneuchinger Burschenverein at that time. On the extensive field, there were otherwise Eicher tractors from the years of construction between 1938 and 2000 to marvel at, with a number of hp between eleven and 145. In addition, visitors were also able to find out more about the vehicles of the well-known company at exhibitions, for example by the Eicher friends from the Black Forest.

Chairman Widl looked into the large group and said: "Today is practically like a family reunion for young and older visitors. We are very happy that so many people came." The physical well-being was taken care of in front of and in the marquee as well as the entertainment of the children. In addition to the bouncy castle, the raffle booth was particularly popular, and one or two little Eicher friends proudly marched across the field with their own mini-tractor.
