Elvis and Katrin's extended family lives in the yellow terraced house of the Benz barracks in Mannheim. The neighbors of Dieter and Carmen's family finally want something new – and decide to do some small renovations. Above all, the barrackers want to redesign the large family living room.

Katrin and Elvis' family of ten has been living in the "Silent Corner" in the Benz barracks in Mannheim since 2018. After all these years, the house urgently needs a change – at least that's what "Hartz und herzlich" darling Katrin thinks. The first renovation work is already underway for the house in the Benz barracks: The children's rooms of the "Hartz und herzlich" offspring have already been given a new coat of paint.
Katrin finally wants it to be "neat, clean and fresh" and is looking forward to the changes in the house of the Benz barracks in Mannheim. Now, the family's living room is undergoing a complete makeover, as Elvis shows in his latest TikTok post. "The living room is being renovated, I painted the ceiling," Elvis explains in the post as he films through the empty room.

An unusual sight for the "Hartz und herzlich" fans: The otherwise cozy family living room is lined with plastic tarpaulins and almost cleared out. Elvis made big changes in the room: "I painted the wall white, removed the old wallpaper and then sanded the wall with the grinder".
From old to new! Elvis and Katrin don't just want to give the living room a new coat of paint – they also want to spice up the room with new colourful "non-woven wallpaper". Elvis and Katrin do not yet want to reveal what color the living room will have in the future. To keep fans on the edge of their seats, the TikTok video is also in black and white.
