Changing the government now won't solve any of the problems
Hervé Marseille
Given the place and composition of the Centrist Union group in the Senate, to hear the latest statements of its president, Hervé Marseille, the day after the proposals of the Republicans on immigration, it would have seemed logical that the boss of the centrists would be solicited, even courted by the Élysée or Matignon. Obviously this is not the case, and Hervé Marseille, as for several years, has no privileged contact with Emmanuel Macron or Elisabeth Borne or with their advisers.
This situation is all the more surprising since the President of the Republic has given his Prime Minister the task of studying the possibility of enlarging the current majority. If today the UDI remains a privileged partner of the LR, nothing says that this movement or part of its troops could not evolve. Several elected representatives of the Liot group in the National Assembly are also members of the UDI and live rather badly its leftization on pensions
