In Annecy, Thursday, a wandering man, disoriented, spread terror in a park by trying to stab babies. It is difficult to characterize his act, which does not seem to be accompanied by a terrorist motive. Nor can it be reduced to a bloody news item, especially since the accumulation of the latter, which take many forms, has even pushed the President of the Republic to worry about a process of decivilization at the heart of French society. It is known, however, that the aggressor was an asylum seeker, first admitted as such in Sweden about ten years ago, and who wished to be admitted again, this time in France. It is therefore a man claiming protection from Europe who has engaged in the worst acts of barbarity.
For a significant part of the commentary, the information is irrelevant. We must in no way ask ourselves whether this man belonged in Europe. The aggressor being neither a clandestine nor under OQTF, his presence on French territory...
